2 cups (400g) granulated sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 ½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
Wet Ingredients:
2 large eggs
1 cup (240ml) whole milk (or any milk of your choice)
½ cup (120ml) vegetable oil (like canola or sunflower oil)
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup (240ml) boiling water or hot coffee
Preheat and Prepare
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans or line them with parchment paper.
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Combine Wet Ingredients
Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until smooth.
Add Boiling Water/Hot Coffee

Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
